This is Tamiya's 1/48 scale offering of the A-10 Warthog. Although it doesn't contain all of the updates of the Monogram kit, it's a decidedly easier build, and looks pretty nice when finished. The kit was assembled out of box for the most part, with the addition of a VP ACES II seat, sway braces from the Monogram kit, and weapons from various Hasegawa weapons sets. Armament consists of Mk. 20 Rockeye cluster bombs x 4, AGM-65 B/D Maverick missiles, 'slant deuce' loaded on triple launch rails, an ALQ-119 ECM pod, and AIM-9L Sidewinders x 2 on the DRA at station 1. In other words, a fairly typical Gulf War loadout. The model was finished with Model Master enamels in the Europe I scheme, and Super Scale decals to represent the aircraft flown by Capt.
