Eddie Banham's "mostly pre-1912" scratchbuilds

The models are entirely scratchbuilt, and are all to 1/72nd.  Framework is exclusively soldered brass, all fittings and such are made from whatever material seems suitable to the job.  Coverings are tissue paper stained with tea or fabric dyes depending on desired result.  Eddie works on these for about 10 hours a day, seven days a week, being retired! Reckons to produce one a week on average.  He has been building them for around 4 years and currently has around 160-170 finished.

An appeal also, Eddie is always interested in pictures plans and any other data relating to aircraft from the pre 1912 period.  Currently he is looking for information on the Boland Tailless, an aircraft built in the US by Joseph Boland, circa 1910 or so.  Any info on this and any other aircraft of this
period (particularly US built) would be welcomed.

Contact Drewe Manton at drewe@btinternet.com if you have anything to offer.
Regards Drewe

Here's all the brass rods all soldered together with some of the other scratch built parts that make up the Sloan aircraft seen directly  below.

Here is the completed Sloan aircraft.
