I used a Krylon spray can for the exterior finish (heated in hot water prior to spraying).  I replaced the main landing gear wheels, the kit supplied wheels were too large, they looked like something off of a JU-88!  

Ejection capsules from an Engines & Things B-58 set, most of the decals were from the spares box, the kit decals were too small compared to photos of the mockup.  I had trouble initially getting the parts to stay glued together, no matter how much I cleaned them.  

There were some fit problems that are normally inherent to large resin kits (warpage, most of it reparable.)  The bottom line: worth the effort once it's in the case next to an SR-71, and its about the same size!
