This is the 1/48 Hasegawa P-51 kit, built with minor improvements and decals from Aeromaster. This depicts a 357th Fighter Group Mustang flown by Lt. Roberson in early 1944. The model was finished overall with Floquil enamels, US Medium Green 42 over Neutral Grey, lightened with a bit of white.

Theatre stripes are white decal film cut 5/16" wide. The weathering is a combination of pastel chalk and artists oil colours, mainly black and raw umber.

A bit of Bare Metal Foil picks out the doubler panels on the inboard landing gear doors. Wheels are the kit wheels, slightly flattened with a hot knife to give a weighted appearance. Machine gun muzzles are thin brass tubing.
