This
is the best kit of the Hound available on the market. The
fit of the parts is very good and the kit can be build easily into a good
replica of the real helicopter.
The cockpit was detailed using photo-references and some external detail was added using brass wire.
For
the painting scheme I used XTRACOLOR-paints X261 green and a X218 (90%)+ X218
(10%) mix for the light blue undersides.
White
“746”, c/n 07127 was a Mi-4 Hound first used by the Helicopter Transport
Wing HG-31 and afterwards , with the big white/black “ship-style numbers
applied, by the East German Navy Helicopter Wing in Parow, till 1977. I
used the markings and stencil data from the HI-DECAL
sheet 72-026,
