Here are some pictures of my 1/48 Testors F8F Bearcat that I built last year.  While the kit is showing its age, it still builds up into a pretty decent model with some work for not a lot of cash.

I detailed the cockpit and gear using the Eduard PE set.  The aerials are stretched sprue and fly fishing line.

I used Model Master paints throughout.  The plane got a heavy dose of weathering using old thinner washes and pastels.  

While the end result isn’t a masterpiece, I nonetheless like the way it looks.  It’s presently on display at BTB Hobbies in Little Rock, AR.  I hope you all like it.
