Republic P-47 D-25 Thunderbolt

History:
The P-47 was one of the highest produced American fighters and used as a single engine fighter-bomber by the USAAF. It was also used by several other countries during and after World War Two. One these countries was Brazil, that fought in Italy against the Germans, finishing the war with notable distinction.

The model:
The model from Monogram is excellent with great detail.

Painting:
The planes of FAB were received in the colors Olive drab - FS 34087 on dorsal parts and Grey - FS 36173 in the ventral parts. Interior was in Medium Green - FS 24151 and the landing gear in Yellow green - FS 33481. Other P-47 were painted in overall aluminum.
