World War Two begins in Europe - Germany invades Poland on Sept 1 1939

 

The P.11c is the most distinguished Polish fighter plane.  During September '39 our pilots, who flew some 150 P.11's shot down about hundred German aircraft and a few of second aggressor - Soviet ones.

Not well known as the Spitfire or Hurricane - the PZL P.11c had the distinction of being the first Allied fighter of WW2.

The model presented here is made from the Mirage Hobby kit, upgraded with Part photo etched parts. 

Aero Master decals were used for the markings of 111 Esq. named in honour of Tadeusz Kosciuszko, Polish hero of the American War of Independence.
