You gotta love the Monogram 1/48 Voodoo.

Like the F-14, it builds into a real nice looking beast without breaking the bank. I built this one as 101063, a 416 sqn bird out of Chatham New Brunswick, from the early 80's. It's one of two that I'm doing for a Nav type that spent his junior years in the one-oh-wonder.

The interesting thing is that the real thing is sitting at the museum on base in Shearwater, where I work. Naturally I took the opportunity for a comparison shot. It's a shame though, what the last 25 years outside have done to the full-size version. I've been told that it's headed to a collection to be restored, thankfully.
