1/72 Hobbyboss A-7H Corsair II

Hello fellow modellers. This is my second submission in ARC. It is the A-7 from the Hellenic (Greek) Air Force. The model is from Hobbyboss, in 1:72 scale. It is a good model with a lot of detail (not for the cockpit) and ammunition. There are some shape issues as I discovered by reading about it, especially in the shape of the front intake which in reality it is not that wide. And the panels and rivets are exaggerated a bit. For my first time, I decided to use the Aires cockpit set for the specific model. It needs work to fit it in but the detail is very good and it worth the try. I also used the Eduard set for the painting masks, which is a great help!

I did the preshade first and then I proceeded slowly to the painting. I use MrHobby acrylic range, thinned with the MrHobby Acryl thinner, using an Iwata Highline 0.2 for most of the work and an Iwata Eclipse 0.3 for the varnishes mostly. I had some accidents during the construction (like the joint of the wings to the fuselage) but I didn't mind. I also put the external fuel prob, something that the Greek Corsairs didn't have, but I liked it!

I didn't want to make it fully weathered, just used. I love the shape of this plane, and I got it again, from Fujimi now, so I can find the differences between the two models. I was also very impressed from the Aires cockpit set, so I got it again for the Fujimi kit. I am going to make it a Navy fighter-bomber, in the future. Enjoy it!
