1/48 Tamiya F4U-1 Corsair I

This model depicts a Vaught F4U-1 Corsair I that was flown by the Royal Navy in WWII. The wings had 8 inches removed from the wing tips for lower deck clearance on British carriers.

This model is finished with Model Master Paint, AM Tech decals for a P40, and homemade decals.

Colors used on this model;

  • ANA 602 Light Gray MM 1723, MM 1768 approx. mix 20/80.

  • ANA 603 Sea Gray MM 1723, mm 1768 approx. mix 80/20.

  • ANA 611 Interior Green MM 1715 darkened with MM 1723.

  • ANA 613 Olive Drab MM 1711.
