1/48 Hasegawa TA-4J AGGRESSOR

This is the Hasegawa 1/48th scale TA-4J Skyhawk kit.  The model itself went together very well and was a straight-forward build.  I added Classic Airframes resin ejection seats to the cockpit and used Steel Beach Intake plugs on the intakes. I added a scratch-built refueling probe to the model and replaced the pitot tube on the tail with one made of metal tubing. Since this model depicts a TA-4J in 2002, I added the appropriate helmets to the cockpit area and these were taken from the reissued Monogram F-14 kit.

The model was painted with Model Master enamels and the panel lines were drawn with a Micron Ink Pen.  Once that was done, I shaded the panel lines with Tamiya Smoke, diluted 50/50 with Tamiya Thinner.  Fluid streaks and leaks were done with oil washes.

Afterburner Decals were used to depict a U.S. Navy TA-4J Aggressor assigned to VC-8, Roosevelt Roads Puerto Rico in 2002.

Happy Modelling!
