Here are pics of my Finemolds 1/72 Me 109 F4.  This machine was the plane piloted by H.J. Marseille in Africa.  The kit provides open engine and I added some scratch-built parts.

I was disappointed with the closed canopy, strange option if you want show the engine, so I opened the canopy with fine blade.  There is some brass from Eduard in the cockpit.
I used Gunze standard acrylics for D.A.K., with a few drops in white, and a coat of future in preparation for decals.  Decals are lovely, with original markings and damages in painting, like the real machine.  Decals went on without any problem.

Some oils and Tamiya weathering pigments, over a new coat of future, and a last coat of Spanish varnish for oils.
