Fairey Battle MK-l, my first ever kit
build, this is one A/C I always wanted to make, one of my favorites.
Initially, I wanted to make this in RIAF scheme, but for lack of knowledge & reference material on the type in RIAF
Service, I couldn't go much further, Only good part, I now know, that
there were only three A/C of the type in RIAF service. And those 3
aircraft were mostly used for Training & Target Tug duties, of which one was
pranged, so that left only two & hence lack of info.

So, with two Kits (AIRFIX)
in hand, I decided to go with the RAF scheme belonging to No.12 Sqn,RAF.
The crew of this particular A/C were AWARDED VC's. The other kit is kept for later
stage, if n when I am able to acquire more info on the A/C in RIAF
Service. This particular AIRFIX kit was overall a good build with some minor
glitches, but the outcome is pretty satisfactory. The kit is totally hand brushed.
At last, but not the least, I must
mention that I have always been a scratch A/C model builder, but for the love,
care, active support & guidance of my Gurus, namely, Murli Rajan & Navin
Bala, who brought me into scale kit model
building. I wouldn't have been able to complete my models without
them. Still a lot to learn & a long way to go.
I hope you all like this build.........enjoy the photos.
