Hi to all modellers, I write again to present my first helo model.  Since it is my first try ever with an helicopter I wanted to keep it simple as possible.  I chose the EC135 made by Revell Germany.  The box is small with a nice picture of a real Swiss air force type.  Inside you can find a nylon envelope that contains 5 sprues with all you need to complete the little helo.  My objective was to complete it  OOB and give it a little scenario in an helipad.  I started with the inside.  It is small but it has some work to do to complete the instrument panel with the decals and the ground floor and five little seats for the passenger version.

I then closed the two fuselage halves and attached the tail rotor.  I then worked on the main rotor separately.

Later on I masked all the clear parts with Tamiya masking tape and began to paint the entire model with a greyish acrylic paint to make the base color.  After that I used the olive drab to do the camo scheme.  For this model I tried also to paint free hand with the airbrush, with a low air pressure on the needle.

I then painted with different grey tone the main rotor applying also the yellow on the blades tips.

I sealed everything with clear varnish; two days later I started applying decals.  They are few medium size decals and some very small stencils.  Completing this process, I sealed again the entire model with clear varnish.  Weathering is almost absent since the real thing is pretty new in the Swiss air force and different pics show them in very clean condition.  The job was called done after I applied all the small pieces like antennas, wire-cutter on top of cabin...etc.

The helo pad is made with a picture frame and plasticard and fake grass.  I scribed the plasticard showing the squares and painted the white stripes and the H.  Lights are made with pieces of clear sprues painted with clear blue Tamiya and little plasticard roundels.

Thanks a lot.

Enjoy the photos hope you like!!!
