  Indonesia Armed Forces day

This is a standard 1/48 Trumpeter MiG-19S kit built OOB with additions such as antenna on the side of the intake and gun deflectors on the both sides of the cockpit. This addition was made after I saw a published photograph from a book that clearly shown an antenna on the side of the intake. Then I went to the Air Force Museum that is located only 15 minutes from my house to check whether there is an antenna or not. Some said that the example at the Air Force Museum did not originate from AURI. But fortunately the example clearly shows that there is a panel on the side of the intake that used to be a mounting for the antenna. So I decided to form this panel along with the gun blast deflectors with sticker, then made the antenna from placard.

The kit built was quiet simple as describes in the manual with addition of putty of course. Cockpit interior color was standard like in the manual as I'm not specifically doing research about it. And for the exterior I use only Tamiya Spray Bare Metal Silver with no panel high light. Serial number and other black marking use decal. And the air force pentagon and national flag I use masking stickers.

The model was lightly washed with Tamiya enamel smoke and touched up with pastel chalk.
