D-Day - Allied Landings in France in 1944

Here is my contribution to the D-Day celebration...

I’ve just finished building the P-51B from Trumpeter – not the perfect kit though (more particularly because the profile of the wing is not laminar), but a certain improvement compared to the venerable Revell model that I built when I was a teenager (i.e. a few years ago!).

I still have a box of that Revell P-51B that I might decide to build up soon, who knows?

This P-51B holds the markings of one of the Blue Nose Bastards of the 352 FG – and of course in those times of the D-Day remembrance, I had to paint a plane wearing the Invasion stripes...

This is a day to remember also for all those who did not become aces, but were there to do the job..

Merci,

Olivier Barles
