Brazilian EMB-314 (A-29) Super Tucano
Sometimes I drift away from my 1/144 Air Force. Especially when I found a beauty like this.
HobbyBoss has brought out the EMB Super Tucano in 1/48 which was - apart from a very rare resin kit – a long cherished wish from many modelers.

The present kit, the Brazilian EMB – 314 Super
Tucano, in South America better known as the A-29 or ALX, is a turboprop aircraft for light attack, counter insurgency (COIN), close air support and recon- or surveillance missions. It comes in three different South American ( Brasilia, Columbia and Chile) camouflages. I chose the very aggressive looking sharkmouth version for the
Colombian Air Force, Rio Negro Airbase.
The all new tooling kit comes with a wide selection of armaments including Mk.82
Snakeyes, AIM-9L and AIM-9P Sidewinders and GBU-12 LGB`s.
It was a easy build, good fit and only a little filling job. Some nice decals and
photo etched parts made the build a real pleasure. The black wingwalk strips are not included and had been made by yourself.
Waiting for some after market decals (Africa, US…?) and resin parts for another aircraft.
