I haven't built a Mustang since I was a kid and felt it was long past time. So here's my first attempt at a Tamiya P-51D. I was very impressed. Simple kit and the decals laid down perfectly.

I used Alclad Aluminum and Dark Aluminum for the plane and Pale Burnt Metal for the exhaust. I faded some MM Olive Drab and sprayed over the Alclad.

Totally OOB except for handmade seat belts. Weathering was kept to a minimum with just some light panel wash and gunsmoke stain.

A very fun little build and now I have a Mustang on the shelf!
