Vultee BT-13 Valiant Chilean Air Force

Hey Everybody!!!

Here is my last finished model, the BT-13 from AZ Model, in Chilean Markings.

In fact, this airplane was delivered to the Chilean Air Force since 1943 in the context of Lead and Lease in a number close to 60.

It was an intermediate trainer, used in the teaching process for new P-47 pilots.

Some of these nice airplanes were lost in several accidents, but one (164) is preserved in the Air and Space National Museum, in Santiago, Chile.

The planes were not painted in this service in Chile. They look in natural aluminum, and in some cases unit emblems can be observed in the left side of the cockpit access.

Special acknowledgement to: Rodrigo Jimenez, Juan Cunil, Jorge Tima, Miguel Angel Cid, and Richard Ordenes.

The model was build out of box, with some scratchbuilt parts. I’d used the Pavla canopy set and LF Models Decals for this kit.

I’d used K-4 (Water based acrylics) paintings an affects.

I hope you like it.
