Canberra,
the only Bomber the Indian Air Force had until the late seventies, came to
India in 1957. Over the years the Canberra became the backbone of IAF for
bombing raids and photo reconnaissance operations. On 11 May 2001, the IAF
retired its Canberra aircraft after 50 years of service.

This
is a rather old kit that came to me as a gift from a
friend. With 15th August
a month away I quickly got to it to meet the deadline for ARC.
The kit
was very basic
and had a lot of fit issues. I had to scratch build the cockpit.
Used a spare ejection seat from another kit . The landing gear
bay was also scratch built so were the intake scoops by the canopy.
A lot
of filling and sanding was involved. Primed with Mr. Surfacer. Model Master
& Mr. Hobby paints were used. The squadron logo decal is self made, roundel
and finflash are from brightspark.
