This is a scratchbuilt model of the Russia State Transport Company plane used by president Putin. The only kit pieces I used where the intake fans from a 1/72 E-3 AWACS and the wheels are resin cast copies of the same kit. The main body was made using a piece of PVC pipe. Wings, tailplanes and rudder are made of styrene plastic sheet. The rest of the body was made using tons of Bondo. My main references were some small plans that I enlarged in a Xerox copier to 1/72 scale and lots of pictures found on the web. I used my own mix of Model Master enamels to paint the model. The decals were drawn on a computer and printed in clear decal film using a color laser printer. The russian flag and the color bands are painted. This a huge model, just compare its size with the 1/72 SU-35 (a modified Hasegawa kit). After 2 years with this project it is not finished yet. It still needs some panel marks, weathering, and chrome silver paint on the leading edges. Efrain
