Accessories: PART S72-060, 061, 062, Engine Asch-62IR by Engines & Things
Decals: Hi Decal Line Nr.72-046
The engine compartment including fire retardant wall are scratch built. For the first time I used a so-called Stretch Paint Tape to take care of the canopy glass. All rudders/elevators have been cut out and re-fitted.
With some breaks in between the process of building this model took about 3 years.

The “845” is an An-2P, which was first operated by the DDR-Lufthansa (DM-SKA, c/n. 17207) and entered service on February 8, 1957. The blue lightning under the row of windows is a reminder of that era.

In April 1958 the An-2 was transferred to the National Peoples Army (NVA, TS-27, Dresden) and continued for a while to fly with her rare and impressive paint scheme before it was repainted in dark green.
Today it is still flying with the call sign D-FKMI and has more than 5000 flying hours logged.
