This is my Tamiya 1/48 Me 262 bomber complete with launch rockets, built OOB.

The Kit
Tamiya have released a very good kit with this Me 262, complete with weight to hold the nose down. As well as, a few little extras, for display.

Construction
This kit went together very well, the only thing I found tricky was setting up the front landing gear and weight. I found that I had to resort to using some putty and some sanding was required thoughout the construction, but I have not come across a model kit that does not require these things. The only thing that I added to this kit was the Eduard etch seat belts, as opposed to the decals that Tamiya had supplied.

Painting
I used Model Master paints in order to achieve the closes color to the real thing. This however was my first attempt at spraying the mottled affect as I have only changed from brush painting to airbrush in the last two and a halve years, and this was the first kit that required the mottled affect. I must say I was happy with the finish.

The finish
I decide to add a little wear to this model with the chipped paint affect as well as some pastel for the panel lines and grim. The decals are that of which were supplied with the kit.
