This
is my Tomcat from Tamiya. I made this kit in 1996. I wasn’t a great modeller
at that time. I think I’m still not, especially when I finished a model. I
think everyone can look upon his finished model, thinking “I could have done
that better”.

I
used the original Tamiya decals which are very thick
and didn’t
know anything about the set and sol products, weathering, detailling, etc.,
etc..
A
few years later
I
decide to repaint the aircraft. The aircraft was painted with brushes of various
sides. But now, I thought by myself I can give it a little bit a better look
when I airbrush the Tomcat. I bought some decals which are actually for the
B-version. Again, too short knowledge, I know. But it was nice to experiment my
airbrush techniques on this great plane. I used a lot of different paintshades
and different psi in my compressor to obtain a weathered aircraft.
