The British Aerospace Hawk celebrates it 30th anniversary this year.

The Hawk first flew on the 21st August 1974, it the hands of Test pilot Duncan Simpson.

The aircraft enjoyed a successful test program and entered RAF service in late 1976.

The Hawk has been used for a variety of roles with the RAF, the most famous aircraft being the “Nine” red Hawks of the Royal Air Force display team the “Red Arrows”

These models were made OOB from the Italeri 1/72 Hawk kit, and show some of the colour schemes that the Hawk has worn in RAF service.
