This is my first Monogram kit, and first re-engraved kit.  I use Monogram F/A-18C kit, but made some change to type F/A-18A+.  Because the decal which I bought was TwoBobs' "[TB48-062] USMC F/A-18A VFA-201 Hunters, VMFA-115 Patriot Hornets".  I used VMFA-115 Patriot Hornets's marking, and it's really COOL!

To convert C type to A+ type, I remove Two ECM antennas behind the canopy, remove one antenna which was at the vertical stabilizers.  I re-engrave all panel lines, cut flaps and rudder, and rearranged them.  But I can't rearranged slat because I didn't have plenty of time.  I painted this Hornet with Gunze Mr. Color 307(upper side), 308 (lower side).   

Both washing and weathering were done by Tamiya Enamel and Oil Color And I used pastel and sanded pencil lead to emphasis panel line.  This working is really good to emphasis panel line (weathering, too)  Then Gunze Super Clear (Semi-Gloss) is applied as a final coating.
