This is my Latvian
Gladiator. The kit used was the Roden 1/48 Gladiator, with the carb intake
under the cowling made out of a rocket head from the scrap box. Decals
were from Mike Grant Decals (unfortunately, he no longer carries the 1/48
version). I was fortunate to meet a Latvian pilot who was in training at
the same base used by the Gladiators; he explained the use of different flight
colors on wheel hubs and spinner cones. Photos of this aircraft show a
light flight color, so my best guess was yellow.
