Here is a picture of a basswood solid model I built to 1/64 scale This one is a B-17G Flying Fortress. This was quite a complicated model to build, requiring a lot of alignment fixtures to make everything come out looking right. ALL parts are scratch built. The cowls are vacuum formed, the engines inside the cowls are built from plastic. Props were made by making a hub and blade master, and the casting them. Paint is Alclad II. I know the astro dome is missing, I never did like this on the B-17. It looks like a pimple on a pretty girls nose. Anyway, there are a few restorations around without the astro dome.
