1/72 Hasegawa F-2A

This is my first gallery uploaded to ARC. I've been modeling for about 15 years, and I figured it is time to let more people get a gander at my work. This kit is the Hasegawa F-2A from the Aero Dancing series. It is the same kit as the standard F-2 but without JASDF decals, just generic stencils.  That being said the kit went together very easily. I was so impressed with the fit of this kit I purchased the F-2B in 1/72 and 1/48. I don't think I used any filler on this kit. The Blue on Blue paint is Tamiya, spayed via airbrush.

I applied decals in typical fashion, following a spray of clear flat I then applied a wash of thinned black paint. I like the look of the wash on a flat surface. Another coat of clear flat and I then added the canopy and exhaust. I left the pylons empty except the center tank. I may load it up later, but I didn't feel it didn't need any weapons. I'm happy with the results, many people get stumped looking at it. "Thats an F-16 right?" I get asked that often. "Nope its an F-2." I reply.
