This is the Academy 1/72 F-14 Tomcat. I completed this kit in Feb 2004. It is OOB. The major problem is the front fuselage attachment point to the rest of the plane. I had to do major filling there and thereby sanded away a lot of detail. I brush-painted the plane with Tamiya acrylics. I used Casio labelling tape for the canopy frames, instead of painting the frames. Sludge wash was applied for weathering. I used a red Sharpie marker for the edges of the gear doors.

Just recently (July 2005), I weathered the plane again with multiple coats of enamel wash. And here on ARC is the result!
