One of our hobby shops in Kuala Lumpur, Hobby HQ has a collection of 1/72 & 1/48 scale TUDM aircraft which is being built up progressively. This series of photographs are a tribute to this nation's 48th Independence Day, which we hope you will enjoy. First off are models of the A-4PTM (Hasegawa 1/48 A-4C) in both color schemes. Decals are from the kit and also poached from the F-4DableModels F/A-18D & VFA TUDM A-4 sheets.
Next is a brace of F-5's - a 1/48 Esci F-5E incorporating th Achung Japan Hobby RF-5E/S resin conversion, followed by a 1/72 Italeri F-5E & a 1/72 Esci F-5B, using decals from ScaleNutz. Prop power! - an Aeroclub 1/72 Pilatus PC-7 in TUDM training colours & a Hobbycraft 1/72 DHC-7 Caribou trail in formation. Into the '90's, we have a pair of Academy 1/48 MiG-29's - both 'N' & 'NUB' models, built using ScaleNutz decals. And finally, bringing up the rear as a tribute to Steve Bamford - a Hasegawa 1/48 CF-188, in Flightdec's 410 Sqn. TMOTA '03 markings! Jason
