F-14 Tomcat squadrons have some of the best spooky “Halloween” tails of any other airplane. From skulls to devils, the squadrons chose these markings to invoke fear in the enemy and give the squadron members a sense of pride. Okay, so the enemy probably wouldn’t turn tail at the sight of a skull and crossed bones, but you never know.

I’ve included pictures of both 8.5” x 11” tail plaques that I make as well as the large fiberglass tail that measures 2’ x 3’.

Other tail plaques can be seen at www.steel-beach.com.
