This is the Revell
1/32 Bf-109G4 detailed with the Eduard photoech set and Aires cockpit set. The
model was converted to a G2 type by using the Aires spoked main wheels and
smaller tailwheel for the F-type. The Model is based on a photo from the book
"Les Messerschmitt Bf109 roumains" published by Air Mag. Bf 109 G2
"White 217" was flown by 2nd Lieutenant Ion Dicezare and his personal
logo on the nose translates to "Come on little girl".

The model was
painted with Lifecolor RLM 74 / 75 / 76 paints. The unusual mottles on the
nose (very visible in the photo) are RLM02. Some RLM 02 mottles were also
applied to the fuselage. I also used a variety of different enamel and acrylic
paints for the cockpit details. The model was weathered with chalk pastels and a
light spray of black along the panel lines.
I custom printed the decals
with an OKI DP5000. The decals were printed on Tango Papa decal paper and were
applied with the help of Aeromaster decal softener. All stencilling was also
translated into Romanian.
