This
is an F-15E Strike Eagle from Hasegawa in 1/72 Scale. This was an old kit, so
some modifications had to be made in order to create an accurate F-15E. I added
the correct bomb pylons from an Airfix model. I used Modelmaster paints and
coatings. Light weathering was applied using thinned browns and blacks as well
as pencil dust.

The
decals used were from TwoBobs “OIF” Nose Art. I put the “Shangri-La II”
nose art on my kit.
The
ordinance is from Hasegawa’s weapon sets.

There’s
a ton of references on Steve Davies’ book “F-15E units in Operation Iraqi
Freedom” (Osprey). That’s were I took the colors for the drop tanks and the
ordinance loadout.
