I thought I'd share
with you my 1/32 tomcat. It’s the Revell kit, but
I used a lot of parts from an old Tamiya cat to
improve it. I must say that it fit relatively well, and I had to fill relatively
few gaps. I think I used an early mold, because nothing was warped or had flash.
I used the exhausts, ladder, and front tires from the Tamiya
kit, and canopy detail set from model tech. The decals are I was really surprised that I used Jolly Roger markings. I love the tomcat, but I think that VF-84 and 103 markings are way over produced. I'd rather see some decals for some other tomcats. I do understand supply and demand, and the Jolly Roger sheets sell. I buckled and used them, and I really like how the decals look in 32nd scale.
I added a simple load out of two AIM-7s and two AIM-9s. I also didn’t add the phoenix pallets; many reference photos didn’t have any for this jet. Matt
