Here are pictures of my F8F-1 Bearcat. The marking belongs to South Vietnamese air force during
late 50's and early 60's. Hobbycraft kit has several inaccuracies in comparing with
the original Bearcat.
The most visible is the shape of engine cowling. I adjusted
the shape of leading part of engine cowling to get the Bearcat shape. Another
inaccuracy is main wheel bay. But the fitting of parts is very good and I can recommend
this kit.
For improving the model I used Eduard photoetched zoom FE134. Paints are Pactra
acrylic dark sea blue FS15042, interior green FS34151 and Model master chromate
yellow for main wheel bay. Decals are from the Hobbycraft kitbox.
