Well, with the
completion of the 1977-1978 CVW-8 series lets move on to almost today. Most of
these aircraft are marked for the USS Enterprise 2003 cruise. A couple are of
the USS Kennedy, just cause that's how the decals came. Overall the markings and
squadrons didn't change that much between the cruises. With the exception
of the reserve squadron VFA-201 Hunters. As far as Im concerned its "good
to go" as Jim (Sabre) might say.
First up. A Hasegawa
F-14D VF-213 Black Lion. Decals are a combination of Two-Bobs, Areomaster and
even Yellowhammer. In other words, decals didn't exist for this squadron until
now. Look for a updated presentation of this squadron in CVW-8 part 4. (yet to
be built)

Next 2 Hasegawa 1/48
F-18Cs. The first being VFA-15 CAM decals, next VFA-87 from Two Bobs
decals. And the CVW-8 badge in the middle. The big photo is a Hasegawa F-18A+
from reserve squadron VFA-201 Hunters from Texas. This was the first full
wartime deployment of a USN reserve squadron since the 1950's.(as far as I've
been told),
Next shots, a 1/72 Fujimi E-2C
Hawkeye, superscale and scrap box decals. Im waiting for a affordable 1/48
Hawkeye to show up. Next a Revell, Prowler in 1/48. Cant remember who did the
decals.

Next shots a Italeri S-3 Viking completely out of the box including the decals, and last the
shelving unit where the models are currently collecting dust.
