This is the 1:72 AH-56 Cheyenne  scale model from "Legato", although it required a lot of work to fit their parts well (because it's resin), the results at the end are very satisfactory. The real aircraft flown for first time in 1967, it will be build in response to the Army's need for a escort/attack helicopter, however because its technological sophistication, it was plagued with flying problems and its cost per unit were too high; that's why in spite of being a very advanced helicopter, Lockheed never obtained the orders that allowed its final construction.

After having been completed the cockpit interior and received the fuselage main color (olive green 60% + yellow 40%), I painted the tail part where the warning sign decal will go. Notice that the canopy has also be covered (with a thin layer of white glue), so it doesn't receive any splashes.

Finally, I took some b&w pictures of my model, putting a picture of an old air force base in the bottom; in the other picture you can see the famous tail propeller whose function was to give an auxiliary "pushing force" to the aircraft; maybe this propeller was the responsible for the speed records imposed by the Cheyenne and the Sikorsky S-67 Blackhawk?
