This is the Italeri
ACH47 gunship version of the Chinook in 1/72 scale. The kit is well detailed and
easy to build. I usually like to add some extra detail if I can on the kits
I build, but this adds a fair bit of time and I end up building only a couple of
kits a year, so I built this kit straight from the box.

As with most Italeri
kits, it went together with no fuss, I used Humbrol enamels throughout. I sprayed
the kit using the pre-shading technique with matt black sprayed over the panel
lines, with a couple of panels covered to give a patchwork affect to the
finished scheme, a few coats of olive drab were then misted over the
top. I
brush painted four coats of Klear using a large flat brush (I have problems
spraying klear). I then decaled and weathered with pastel chalks finally sealing
it all with matt varnish. The Italeri kit is a great representation of real
thing and once the rotors were added, it takes up a surprising amount of space for a
1/72 helo.
