Hello modellers everywhere, I am presenting to you our very own Philippines IPMS Nationals held last November 27-30 2006. This event was held at one of our major malls (SM Megamall) located in Pasig City which is part of Metro Manila. Since I am located some 600 nautical miles south of Manila, I had to ride one of our domestic airlines( Cebu Pacific) going to Manila from our place in Bohol Island in Central Visayas. This airlines is one of our leading airlines here flying the new airbus A319. Picture 03.jpg shows me in my very first entry into such a prestigious event. The first section of this report shows all aircraft entries.  The 1/48 Huey Helicopter as shown here won its particular category.

The second section is all about armor either out of the box or scratch built respectively. I entered the Chinese main battle tank made by Trumpeter 1/35 scale Type 85-II tank shown here with the red star insignia. Other pictures show a very impressive scratch built blow up model of a WWII  German Tiger  tank (13.jpg), The last picture on this section shows a 1/24 scale Russian T-34.

The third section shows the different categories of ship model entries, I also had one entry in this category, a Trumpeter 1/350 model of the Chinese destroyer No. 112 Ha-Er-Bin(18.jpg).

Although I did not win anything, I learned a lot of lessons on modelling techniques which could help me build better models for future contests. As I am a newly affiliated member of IPMS-Philippines, I would like to express my thanks to the organization for giving me an opportunity to join this event for the first time. By the way the last picture in this series shows my egress back to my home island and shows the view of the Manila International Airport and vicinity from onboard a just taken off A319 airbus.
