This is the old Revell UH-1D kit. It is depicted in a low hover dropping off troops in an area of S.E. Asia during the Vietnam war.  The pilots and ground troops are 1/35 DML. The door gunners are converted Tamiya with some added DML parts.  The helicopter is suspended from a brass rod attached at the base.  The ground cover is moss for house plants, airbrushed with various shades of green and yellow acrylics. The base size is 24" x 24".  The diorama is on display in the office of an Oregon State Representative who was a "slick" pilot during the war.  I created this diorama about 8 years ago.
