This is my recently finished 1/72 KB-29P done in Bare Metal Foil, Squadron vac canopy and Expert Choice decals. Assembly of the kit was not difficult. Everything fit ok except for the canopy, which was mis-molded. The best part of the build was attaching the wings. They fit PERFECTLY. I did not assemble the rear gunners compartment or bombay to save on weight. Click on images below to see larger images I used Bare Metal Foil to finish the kit. This was time consuming, but I think it was worth it. Markings for a KB-29P are hard to find, but I did find a sheet from Expert Choice. (72-12) The markings are for a KB-29P of the 97th ARS, 97th BW in 1952. The decals gave me a little trouble snuggling down (Thick ink). After the decals were on, I gave the model a coat of Future to seal everything.
I liked building this kit so much that I went out and bought another one. The assembly is not difficult, and is straightforward. Probably the hardest part was finding decals for it. A very enjoyable kit to build. Scott Click on image below to see larger image
