Here
is my Airfix P-80C Shooting Star which I built last year as my entry
to the 4th IPMS Philippines Nationals. It was built Out of the box
except for the addition of seatbelts.
I
wanted to capture the weathered (and "burned metal") look of
natural metal aircraft that have been used in air operations. In order
to achieve this I tried pre-shading (a technique I learned from my
friends at IPMS Philippines) the panel lines with Tamiya Flat Black
before over coating it with Gunze Silver. A wash of paint
thinner and oil paints for the recesses was applied as well.

I
think I overdid it though, next time I'll be using dark gray.
Hope
you like it.
