Some pics of my A/B-26C Invader, Kit
# 5508. I built this one straight OOB except for altering the kit with the
Cutting
Edge CEC 48031, 8-Gun
Nose Conversion. Just slice off the kit nose per instructions, hollow out
the resin and add a lot of weight to the resin nose piece, glue in place, putty
and blend to the rest of the fuselage.
You can also conceal a lot of weight in the nacelles and the cowls which you will need or this baby will surely sit on it's tail. I really screwed up on this model though. The color scheme depicts an Invader with the 730 BS, Korea 1950. The nose art is for the 13th BS, Iwakuni AFB, Japan, 1952. The aircraft should also be all Black with Red trim to be correct for the nose art. Click on images below to see larger images The nose art was added and clear coated before I realized the error, so I just left it alone. To this day I can't figure out how I made such a screw up. Wasn't the first and probably wont be the last. Dennis
