This model #55 since 1996.  Usually I do this kit in the 93rd ACW.  But as it is now flown by the 116th ACW, I decided to put their markings on the aircraft.  The  it is the Heller 1/72nd scale Awacs by doing a little bit of modification here and there its simple to convert to an E-8C J-Star.  Apart from scratch building outboard engine as the E-8 has 4 generators.

Using the Flightpath conversion for the Canoe and engine turbine blades leaving off the ariels and scratch building my own makes its look better.  Painting is done by using Model master Gloss gull grey which is the closest to Boeing grey and easier to get.  Decals came from an old B-1 Bomber with the Georgia markings for the tail.  The rest of the decals came from the kit and spares box.  Otherwise it makes a nice kit.  Now I'm wondering when to start # 56.
