"1/48 HASEGAWA F-104S Starfighter"

The airplane that I introduce you is a F-104S Starfighter, in 1/48 scale of the Hasegawa, and it represents a F-104S in load to the 4° wing of italian air force of Grosseto. I have wanted to already improve the fabulous kit of the Hasegawa with the set of detail of the Verlinden, very precise and accurate, composed besides the cockpit also the section radar and the back section of the avionic bay..

I Have wanted to represent the aircraft in storage, a situation that to many impassioned results unhappy but that to me fascinates a lot!!! To realize the two cloths that I have set in the anterior and back part of the fuselage, has used a wet kleenex of water, glue vinavil, color green olive, and once dry I have performed some drybrush with some clear green color. In this period near the base of the aeronautics military Italian of Grazzanise, center of the 9° wing, is set aside in open storage about F-104's removed from service around four years ago, when this wing has been completed the last operational mission of a F-104 in the Italian air force.

The model has been colored with colors HUMBROL, particularly the grey clear, and I have performed some washings with some black temper, and after a passage of transparent varnish of the MODEL-MASTER it polishes I have applied the decals. After having again crossed again the transparent varnish it polishes I have applied in the various zones that opaque.
