I really liked Macross when it was on TV over here, so when I started building Model Kits I knew I wanted to build some of these kits.  I got some VF1’s that I haven’t started yet and then one day on Ebay I found this one.  The Kit is great, it’s a very easy Kit with not too many parts, but a lot of potential.  The quality is ok, there are not too many details but you could easily add some should you want to.  I’ve build it OOB but I didn’t follow the paint scheme at all. I decided to go for a used Army look.

I airbrushed the whole model with Alclad Aluminium in order to achieve a nice weathered look afterwards.  I used a tooth pick and some sanding paper to create a “chipping” effect on the Model.  I used the decals that were delivered with the Model as they are of good quality as well.  All in all I can only recommend this Kit to whoever likes Marcross and/or wishes to build something different.

I’ve also tried to create realistic looking bullet impacts.  I did those with a hot soldering iron.
