I was
impressed with the quality of the Hobby Boss Corsair, and would
recommend it. I needed VA-122 markings, so this really fit the bill for me,
and I got a good price and service from Just Plane Hobbies. The decals were
nice, but the stripes on the Stars and Bars were a little out of register.
The
fit was good, and the detail is very nice for this scale. There are 2 avionics
bays to leave open, but I sealed them up. The build is pretty much out of the
box with the addition of several pieces from the Eduard A-7E photoetch sheet.

The top wing/fuselage joint needed a little trimming, but I got it to fit tight without filler. I just "welded" it with thick cyano. The top anti collision light is tail light sprue.
I built this one for my friend and VA-216 squadron mate, Mike R.. He'll be presenting the model to his friend, who served with VA-122. I wish I could be there to see the reaction! Enjoy the photos, Mike!!! Nick Click on images below to see larger images
