Here's some photos of my P 51D, Tamiya 1/48 kit and Hasegawa decals (Glenn Eagleston P 51D). The cockpit and wheels bays are scratch built, seatbelts are from Eduard. The fuselage and tail surface are riveted with "Rosie the riveter" more here about building : http://www.master194.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33233&start=0 and here : http://www.master194.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34598 The only problem was when a "flying" piece of Tamiya tape stick on the eagle decal on the fuselage. I remove it carefully but 50% of the "proud eagle" was off. I had to repaint it..... Click on images below to see larger images Paint is Alclad, dark aluminium for the wing, 60% alu+ 40% polished alu for the fuselage and stab, and panelling in light coat of stainless steel.PSP is from "Mark 58" (very fine moding) I hope you enjoy this P-51D !
